Trumps' Memorial Day Contribution

Donald Trump returned from his first international outing saying he hit a "home run". The Republicans were all ecstatic. Atta boy Donny. Hit one for the Gipper.

Trump returned in time for Memorial Day. Memorial day is for remembering those who lost their lives in service to our country. On Memorial Day we should all pause to remember exactly what they died for.

Our troops served in two World Wars. They were horrific wars. After the second, we didn't want to have to go back to Europe a third time. We wanted peace and prosperity and stability.

Thanks to the efforts of all of our Presidents, both Republican and Democrat, peace did come to Europe and it has lasted since the end of World War II. It was strengthened by NATO and the European Union.

Since taking office, Trump has managed to alienate most of our European allies. He has done things to weaken the European Union. He has weakened NATO. He has undone in less than 4 months what people have died to accomplish since the beginning of World War I in 1914.

Yes he hit a "home run" on a meatball pitch thrown by Vladimir Putin. A setup pitch in a game that's worse than any ever played. A game that is infinitely worse than the World Series of 1919.

Arnold Rothstein was credited with bribing the players in 1919. Rothstein was a mob boss from New York City. In Trump's "home run" game, Putin, who is also a mob boss, orchestrated the bribe.

Ironically, many of operatives Putin used are/were also located in New York City. In today's version, we have a cast of characters which include Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, Mike Flynn, Paul Manafort, Jeff Sessions and a host of other supporting players.

Jared is most recently associated with wanting to set up a secret "back channel" to the Kremlin using Russian communications equipment out of the Russian Embassy.

Ivanka Trump suggested celebrating Memorial Day with champagne popsicles. I suggest we celebrate by impeaching Donald Trump. It's time. In fact, it's long overdue.

Holy Moly!
