Strolling Through The Park - Mayday! Mayday!

It's May! It's May!
Remember this song?

It starts with these lyrics:

While strolling through the park one day
In the merry merry month of May
I was taken by surprise
By a pair of roguish eyes
In a moment my poor heart was stole away

May 1st is Labor Day in Russia. It is celebrated by workers parading in major cities throughout the country. This year some 131 workers were taken by surprise and arrested in Russia while they were parading. Did you know Russia is billed as the "Workers' Paradise"?
May 9, 1945 is the day Russia defeated Nazi Germany. It's celebrated every year in Russia with a massive Victory Day parade in Moscow's Red Square. Russia's full military might will be on display this week.
Here, on the home front, May 1st was the day United States Attorney General William Barr testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee chaired by Lindsey Graham.
Barr basically appeared before the Senate and proclaimed his loyalty to Donald Trump. Make no mistake about it. Barr is loyal to Fuhrer Trump. Trump cannot commit a crime according to Barr.
Unfortunately for us, Barr is in charge of our Department of Justice; the most powerful and important department we have to protect us against crime.
By his words and deeds, Barr has proven himself to be working with Trump and the Republican Party to protect and advance a criminal conspiracy that is destroying our country.
Lindsey Graham responded to Barr's treachery by proclaiming that his committee was done with the Mueller Report. Lindsey said there would be no further investigations of either Trump or Russia. Instead, he wants to reopen investigations on Hillary Clinton and start a new investigation on a 2016 anti-Trump conspiracy involving the Justice Department.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell responded to all this by saying if Trump is not re-elected in 2020, he will block Democratic  legislation in the Senate - something he has been doing all along.
Mitch is currently working with Russian oligarchs to bring a Russian Aluminum industry to his home state. Mitch believes doing that will help him get re-elected in 2020.
The Rule of Law is hanging on by a thread. The Department of Justice has been neutralized. The Senate has been neutralized. Mueller's investigation has been neutralized. Barr is now overseeing 14 of Mueller's spin-off investigations.
Our country's only, and possibly last, hope rests with the Democratic Majority in the House of Representatives. Our Constitution gives specific powers to the House of Representatives and only the House of RepresentativesThe members of the House can impeach the President independent of anything happening in the Department of Justice or anywhere else.
Sadly, the Democratic leadership in the House of Representatives does not want to impeach Trump. They fear they will upset the voters.
In 2018, our voters went to the polls and voted in record numbers. to give the House of Representatives back to the Democrats. Voters believed the Democrats would save the country.
What the fuck? Odds are good that Trump will lose the election in 2020 if he runs. The Democratic leadership doesn't want to jeopardize that by starting impeachment proceedings now?
Hmmm. The last time the Democrats demurred on taking action against Trump was in 2016. They believed Hillary would win the election.
The Democrats didn't come forward with information about Trump and the Russians prior to the 2016 elections and they allowed Mitch McConnell to prevent it from being brought up in the Senate.
Shit, that didn't exactly work out as expected! That decision left us with a Russian asset in the White House and a country controlled by criminals.
If that wasn't bad enough, in 2016 the Democrats allowed Bernie Sanders, a non-Democrat, to run as a Democrat in their Presidential primaries. They didn't seem concerned about either the many connections between Bernie's campaign and Russia or the fact that Bernie had not run for his Senate seat as a Democrat.
Yep, Bernie got to run as a Democrat. He also managed to split the Democratic Party by sowing dissension in its ranks.
So what have we learned? Apparently nothing. Bernie is now once again running as a Democrat in 2020. Mayday! Mayday!
The Democrats in the House don't want to bring up Trump's involvement with Russia before the elections. They are basically reinforcing what Trump himself is saying - "It was the Democrats that committed the crimes, not your Republican President". Mayday! Mayday!
The Democrats are our only hope, but they are blowing it. Mayday! Mayday!
The  leaders of the Democratic Party need to stop being clever and start doing the due diligence that we sent them to Washington to do. They need to protect out country. Mayday! Mayday!
They also need to believe Bernie when he says he's not a Democrat. Mayday! Mayday!
This is it. This is the moment that will determine the fate of our country. Justice does not always prevail. Mayday! Mayday!
Our courts have not always worked. Sometimes guilty people walk free. Mayday! Mayday!
What happened to the airtight felony fraud case against Ivanka and Jared in New York City? What did Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance, Jr. do? Mayday! Mayday!
What happened to the airtight case against Jeffrey Epstein for sexually assaulting children in Florida? What did Alexander Acosta do? Mayday! Mayday!
What happened to the credible lawsuit filed against Donald Trump by a woman accusing him of raping her when she was 13 years old? The case was scheduled for trial in New York City in November, 2016. The woman's lawyer, Lisa Bloom, said the woman withdrew the case after receiving numerous threats. Mayday! Mayday!
Hells bells, people accused of crimes and sexual offenses are holding office, being appointed to top administration and government positions and getting presidential pardons. Mayday! Mayday!
Things are glum chum. So many of our elected leaders are compromised in so many ways. Our criminal justice system is not working. Barr and his grim reapers have put the final nail in the Department of Justice's coffin. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 1st, Barr said he wouldn't show up for a previously scheduled hearing with the House Judiciary Committee on May 2nd. Mayday! Mayday!
Barr also said he will defy the House Judiciary Committee's subpoena for the full, unredacted version of the Mueller Report and its underlying evidence. Mayday! Mayday!
Nadler threatened to hold him in contempt of Congress and Pelosi said Barr "lied to Congress" and "that's a crime". Mayday! Mayday!
On May 2nd, we found out that one day after Barr released the redacted copy of the Mueller Report, White House counsel Emmet Flood sent a complaint letter to Barr about the Mueller Report. The White House basically wants to end all cooperation with Congress. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 2nd, Donald Trump said former White House counsel Don McGahn should not testify before Congress. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 3rd, North Korea launched test "missiles" that are nonsensically referred to as "projectiles" by our "free" press. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 3rd, Trump telephoned Vladimir Putin. The call lasted 90 minutes. They discussed what Trump has previously described as a “Russian Hoax” (Mueller investigation) and Trump compared it to "a mountain that ended up being a mouse.” Mayday! Mayday!
On May 5th, Donald Trump said Special Counsel Robert Mueller should not testify before Congress. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 5th, Donald Trump retweeted Jerry Falwell, Jr.'s Tweet calling for Trump's term to be extended for another 2 years because of the Mueller investigation. Mayday! Mayday!
On May 5th, Donald Trump Tweeted that the first two years of his Presidency was "stollen" [Sic]. Mayday! Mayday!

The House has a unique Constitutional authority and the Democrats hold the majority in the House. The Democrats must take action before we drown in corruption. Mayday! Mayday!
If the House Democrats don't take action, this may well be the final epithet appearing on our country's tombstone. Mayday! Mayday!
Holy Moly!
