Disgusting, Degenerate, Despicable Don

Disgusting, Degenerate, Despicable Don outdid himself last night. He sunk to a new low. He showed that no matter how far down in the dirt he descends, he can always manage to go farther.

Just days ago, the father of Navy Seal William "Ryan" Owens asked for an investigation of his son's death. Ryan's dad refused to meet with DDD Don at Dover Air Force Base when his son's body was brought back to America on February 1st.

Owens said, “I told them I didn’t want to make a scene about it, but my conscience wouldn’t let me talk to him." Owens wanted an investigation of the raid. He said, “Don’t hide behind my son’s death to prevent an investigation.”

Senator John McCain was critical of the raid, which took place on January 25th. Ryan Owens died during the raid, several others were wounded and a $72,000,000 aircraft was destroyed. In addition to that, as many as 23 civilians, including an 8 year old girl, were killed.

Senator McCain called the raid a "failure". There was also a controversy over whether of not we gained any useful information from the raid.

In an interview with Fox News that aired Tuesday (2/28) morning, DDD Don said the mission “was started before I got here.” DDD Don noted that the operation was something his generals “were looking at for a long time doing.” DDD Don added, “This was something that was, you know, just - they wanted to do.” DDD Don emphasized, “And they came to see me and they explained what they wanted to do, the generals, who are very respected.” DDD Don concluded, "And they lost Ryan,”

Yes DDD Don, passed the buck. He blamed the military leadership and disavowed all involvement. Not exactly what you would expect from the Commander in Chief. Not exactly in keeping with Harry Truman's famous clarification about the President's ultimate responsibility for what happens - THE BUCK STOPS HERE.

So, last night (Tuesday, 2/28), I was amazed to see DDD Don exploit all this. Ryan's wife attended DDD Don's speech to Congress. During the speech, our Coward in Chief paused to acknowledge Ryan's sacrifice and there was sustained applause while Carryn Owens stood there and cried.

The problem is the Degenerate then did two really Disgusting and Despicable things. First, he made a joke about how the sustained applause broke a record - yes DDD Don is always pointing out numbers either real or imagined and making comparisons.

Second, DDD Don said, "I just spoke to General Mattis, who reconfirmed that, and I quote, Ryan was a part of a highly successful raid that generated large amounts of vital intelligence that will lead to many more victories in the future against our enemies.”

Wow! DDD Don just couldn't help himself. He just couldn't let this end in a dignified manner. No, DDD Don had to make a political argument.

So today, while the entire Republican establishment is falling all over itself about how well DDD Don read an entire speech, I remain appalled and amazed.
